Lawn Bay Ecological Reserve

Lawn Bay Ecological Reserve, near Lord's Cove on the Burin Peninsula, protects North America's only breeding colony of Manx Shearwater. The reserve's three islands can be viewed from shore or by boat. Visit the interpretive plaque in Lord's Cove. Due to the sensitivity of the bird colonies, access and distance restrictions are in effect. Some activities, such as research, tours, or commercial operations, require a permit.
