Bay du Nord Wilderness Reserve

One of the last major unspoiled areas remaining on the island of Newfoundland. This 2,895 km² reserve is an excellent venue for canoeing or kayaking, wilderness camping, angling and hunting, bird and wildlife watching, and outdoor photography. Access is via hiking trails and canoe route, or snowmobile in winter. Entry permits are required before visiting the Reserve. These are available for free from Natural Areas.
