Let us bring you together to experience local crafters from the coast as they take you through an afternoon of “Speed Crafting” as they showcase traditional craft on the Great Northern Peninsula, sharing our knowledge of our diverse traditional yet contemporary craft. Watch and learn Mat Hooking, Nalbinding, Embroidery the Bayeau way, Crazy Quilting and Spinning. Drop by to see and to participate in how each craft is designed and made. Wool being spun on a drop spindle as well as a spinning wheel Nalbinding is a one needle knitting, it is actually a series of loops and knots. Each stich is done individually. Crazy quilting was traditionally scraps of used clothing sewn by hand to make a quilt. Embroidering with the Bayou Stitch Kits may be available. Cash preferred.*Offers are subject to availability.
