Gander Heritage Memorial Park

Heritage Memorial Park was designed as a place of quiet thought and contemplation. View a number of monuments reflecting the aviation and military history of Gander and the Airport including a monument to the heroic NL dog Sergeant Gander and his WWII handler, and a granite wall with the names of the Newfoundland aviators who lost their lives in WWII. The walkways are laid out in the same design as the runways at Gander Airport during WWII. For more info, search "Gander Schools Legacy Project".
