An easy, 2-hour (one way), 3.8-km hike. A pleasant walk from a sandy beach up steps and through coastal woods to Motion River (North Pond Brook). Middle Cove Beach Park known for caplin and whales in season; coastal meadows and mixed forest with views south to Torbay Point and north to Flatrock. The path now continues to Ship Cove in Outer Cove.
