Our Favourite Fall Photos 2022By Newfoundland and Labrador
Newfoundland and Labrador is a beautiful place no matter the season, however fall might be the time when the province is at its most colourful. Striking vistas and landscapes make for rugged backdrops as brilliant colours drape the diverse geography of the province, with bright reds on the west coast and the interior of the island and bright yellows on the east coast and Labrador. With all the wonder that autumn harbours, it's no wonder that our visitors are compelled to capture the fierce beauty of this place. With that, here are some of our favourite local photographers showing us fall colours and scenery through their eyes.
Northern Lights in Labrador
This incredible picture by Geoff Goodyear of the incomparable Aurora Borealis in Battle Harbour is the cherry on top of an unforgettable experience in that neck of the woods.
Humber Valley Hews
An explosion of colour in Humber Valley captured elegantly by Dru Kennedy.
Reflecting on Fall
The Humber River is the setting for this mirrored finish! An evening row and cascading palate of fall glory befit this image from Gord Follett.
One of the intriguing aspects of fall is the diffused lighting creating incredible depth of field, exhibit A from James David March.
Heavenly Harbour Breton
Fall foliage and colour comes in a variety of forms, Harbour Breton shows that they are not all alike. A great place and a great place for photography as Curtis Meeker shows us here.
The Swift Current Palette
The Piper's Hole Bridge is an iconic part of the Burin Peninsula, and the layering of deciduous trees indicates this scenic drive should be added to your fall bucket list.
The serenity of the village of Trinity is difficult to overstate, it's peaceful setting amongst a sheltered habour, hillsides and trees makes it an ideal fall getaway.
Foggy Fall Days in Quidi Vidi
When strolling Quidi Vidi Village it isn't hard to realize why it has been chosen as an ideal place to live, the slow pace of life and celebration of culture and colour make it a perfect fit for our favourite fall photos.
