FOLKIT consists of celebrated local musicians: Wayne Parsons - vocal and guitar; Shirley Montague - vocal, guitar, fiddle, mandolin; Charlie Payne - bass, accordion. Together they deliver a wide variety of uplifting and light-hearted folk music. Drawing on early and current influences, they include familiar tunes and songs from many different artists. Seeing Folk music as the music of the people and an umbrella term for many genres, there is no limitation to what may end up on a FOLKIT set-list.
