Makkovik Trout Festival

If you are unsure of where you will spend your summer vacation, join us at Makkovik’s Annual Trout Festival! This week starts off with a spectacular fireworks show over Makkovik Harbour. An array of events includes our fishing derby, bingo, swimming challenge, carnival, youth dances, roller party, sand sculpture contest, WaterMania, and more. There’s something for everyone! This week concludes with a Community Feast and a contest for the best smoked trout and dessert, along with prize draws.
