Salvage Fisherman's Museum
Salvage
Located in the 300 year old fishing community of Salvage it is known as the Lane/Heffern House. Its' historic and aesthetic value resulted in it being designated a Registered Heritage Structure in 2020. The house is believed to have been built in the mid-19th century and is representative of a traditional Newfoundland saltbox dwelling. It contains a collection of early fishing equipment, logging tools and domestic artifacts, reflecting the community's history and that of its residents.
