Cape Chapeau Rouge Trail

St. Lawrence

Appreciate the enchanting view from the highest point of land on the south coast, overlooking the Town of St. Lawrence, a panorama of the rugged coast and seascapes. Steeped in early history as a landmark for Basque Fishermen, “the Cape” was used to guide them to safe harbours. Take a break at the many rest stations along the trail while enjoying the beautiful scenery. Cape Chapeau Rouge got its name for its appearance and is most striking when fog creeps around its top.
