The Mistaken Point Interpretation Centre in Portugal Cove South is the starting point for exploring the Mistaken Point Ecological Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Centre features exhibits, fossil replicas, and guided tours that introduce visitors to the 565-million-year-old fossils—some of the oldest known evidence of complex life on Earth. It also includes a gift shop and serves as a hub for science education, tourism, and fossil conservation.
