Cape Race
Jul 01 - Sep 14
The Cape Race Light Station, a designated National Historic Site, is located on the southeastern tip of Newfoundland. Built in 1907, it houses one of the most powerful lighthouse beams in the world, visible for over 50 nautical miles. For many ships crossing the Atlantic, it is the first or last light seen as they approach or leave North America. Cape Race has played a vital role in maritime navigation for over a century and remains one of the few lighthouses still staffed year-round.
