Visit Sandy Pond, off TCH, Route 1 for a swim and a picnic. Hike around the pond on Sandy Pond Trail through the boreal forest, bogs, and over bridges. Parts of the trail are crushed stone and boardwalk. You may see caribou and a variety of birds. This trail is considered easy. Sandy Pond is one location used during the Night Sky Celebrations Event where there are excellent views of the night sky.
