The Newfoundland and Labrador Resettlement Program was a government program designed to uproot families from their homes on offshore islands and other remote areas of the province and move them to larger and more accessible areas. By the mid 1960s, close to 20 thousand residents had been relocated. The program was, and remains today, very controversial Join us on an interpretive tour of some of the island communities in the Bay of Exploits that were all but abandoned by the late 60s.

Valid Jun 1 - Aug 31, 2023. Subject to weather conditions. Transportation to these remote communities is via our 24 foot Transport Canada certified tour boat. Minimum two people , maximum eight. Generally runs from 9am - 4pm.
