Great snow conditions and an easy to follow trail bring you to one of the best panoramic vistas in the park. You’ll climb steadily through forest, then emerge from the trees onto a highland plateau. Enjoy spectacular views of Bonne Bay, Gros Morne Mountain, the Tablelands, and the Lookout Hills in all their winter glory. The trailhead starts in the Discovery Centre parking lot located in Woody Point on route 431.

Valid Jan 1 - Apr 30, 2022. Abundant snowfall, moderate winter temperatures, and beautiful scenery make Gros Morne National Park perfect for snowshoeing. In open areas, snow may obscure the trail making it hard to follow. If you can no longer follow the trail, retrace your tracks back to where you started. Dress for the conditions, and monitor the weather. The winter season in Gros Morne extends from January to April. Average daily temperatures for Rocky Harbour are -6 °C in January, -8 °C in February, and -5 °C in March
