Bites of Basque History - Red Bay National Historic Site
Stories, music and food – This program offers new and exciting ways to experience the culture of Labrador’s 16th-century Basque whalers. Take a short ferry ride to Saddle Island and immerse yourself in Red Bay’s history through stories of whaling and Basque culture. Enjoy music with a 16th-century flair and a mouth-watering selection of authentic Basque pintxos (little bites) by chef Ange Gilley of the Florian Hotel.
