Fire the Noon Day Gun
Take your place in history as the daily time keeper on Signal Hill by firing the Noon Day Gun. This tradition dates back to the 1840s. A Parks Canada guide will explain the history and workings of the gun. Wearing a historic uniform, with a pristine view of downtown, you get to set off a blast that can be heard far and wide. Onlookers almost always guaranteed and are encouraged!
Valid Jul 1 - Sep 6, 2020. Experience offered from July to Labour Day. Must be at least 16 years of age to fire the gun. Ear and eye protection will be provided and must be worn. Can accommodate small groups up to 5 people. Arrival required by 11:45 am at the Visitor Centre.
