This 1-day guided birding tour takes you to the easternmost point of Bay St. George where almost 4000 acres of wetland is protected through a Habitat Stewardship Agreement. Visit beautiful beaches with sculpted sand dunes and peer through a scope in search of the endangered Piping Plover. Explore a unique estuary and spot breeding Black-headed Gull (rare North American colony), Barrow’s Goldeneye and (Eastern) Willet. View migrating waterfowl and shorebirds at fall staging sites.
Valid May 1 - Nov 30, 2019. Price $150 pp includes tax, picnic lunch and transportation during the tour. Advance booking is required. This tour may be combined with other tours for a more complete birding experience of Southwestern Newfoundland.
