Wundarstrand and Beyond by Open Boat
The Wundarstrand in Mealy Mountain National Park Reserve is a 57km sandy beach on the Labrador coast. Experienced guides will share their love of “The Big Land” and indigenous peoples way of life. Walk the Wundarstrand, hike to the craters, search for Viking landings and evidence of thousands of years of aboriginal occupation, trout fishing, camping, boat trip to abandoned Packs Harbour and Pigeon Cove, short hikes following Caribou trails, and cook "flummies" over an open fire.
Valid Jun 23 - Sep 8, 2018. No experience necessary. Must be able to walk on sand and moss surface. The hardest part for us is deciding what to leave out so there is always room for you to make the trip your own. We have an itinerary we think will highlight our gems for those who don't get to call this place home.
