Woodstock Colonial Restaurant

Paradise, Conception Bay

Woodstock Colonial is a popular local restaurant known for its long culinary history of steak, seafood, wild game and traditional Newfoundland cuisine. Established in 1927, Woodstock is the oldest known restaurant on the Avalon, serving hearty dishes with friendly old world charm. The original restaurant dates back to a time when a carriage house located on the property served meals and provided travelers with a convenient resting place along the road from St. John's to Conception Bay.  Today the property is surrounded by a beautiful meadow nestled within its own sheltered valley at the junction of two rivers. Over the years it has become a popular location for family dinners, corporate meetings, weddings and intimate dining. Gather with family and friends at Woodstock for a relaxing Newfoundland get together. Sit by the fireplace and enjoy the atmosphere of a room filled with Newfoundland antiques and collectibles. Woodstock is a great choice for a cozy dinner for two or the perfect setting for large group events of 20 to 200 guests.  Newfoundland is known for its hospitality, storytelling and unique culture and Woodstock Colonial Restaurant is proud to be a part of that heritage.  Located in Paradise, on the outer edge of the capital city and only 10 minutes from downtown St. John’s.  Woodstock is close enough to be convenient, but far enough to get away. Woodstock is open Tuesday to Sunday. Reservations Recommended 709-781-2222 Be sure to try Woodstock’s famous Sunday Brunch!
