MadRock Theatre Troupe was established in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and Labrador in 2012. It is made up of a group of volunteer actors and multi-talented artisans. Since first established, the troupe has produced and performed in the Newfoundland and Labrador Comedy "How's About a Time," written by Nick Mercer of Gander and with family roots in Bay Roberts. “How’s About a Time” is staged four to five weeks during the summer months. It is a popular event with repeated sold-out audiences.
