Our fishing community's uniqueness is reflected in its history of the earliest settlers - the Maritime Archaic, Dorset and Groswater people and their burial grounds. Hike to Point Riche to see the caribou herd, Visitors Centre, and whales in the bay. Visit the Heritage Centre or the French Bread Oven for a taste of our bread and local preserves. Purchase local shrimp processed by the OCI plant in town. We are an hour away from the Labrador Ferry. Local berries, in season can also be found.
