George and Mary Lake Heritage House

This historical home reflects a way of life at the turn of the century. No washroom facilities or electricity are characteristics that put our youth in awe. The Lake family graciously donated the house following a general inquiry by resident and then Town Clerk Mrs. Charlotte Piercey - also known as our first founding member of the not-for-profit historical organization - Heritage Fortune. Many other artifacts have been donated or put out "on loan" by citizens of Fortune.
