Neighbourhood Dance Works is proud to be the primary presenter of contemporary dance in Newfoundland and Labrador. Each year we present celebrated local, national and international dance artists in the Festival of New Dance and through artistic residencies and special projects. We engage the community with professional development workshops and artistic collaborations.

Neighbourhood Dance Works was founded in 1981 as a performance collective, creating innovative dance works for the stage. It shifted its focus to presentation, introducing the Festival of New Dance in 1990. NDW provides opportunities for the advancement of local artists and plays an active role in the National dance ecology. Programs include: Festival of New Dance, First Look Series, Choreographic Labs, Creative / technical Residencies, educational activities, discourse and community outreach.
