Botwood Heritage Park, Museum and Archive
A former WWII anti-submarine base, Botwood Heritage Park, Museums/Achives provide a peek back in time. Flying Boat Museum has displays of early aviation 1919-1945, great flying boats of PanAm and BOAC. Heritage Centre Museum contains shipping/railway era of Abitibi, cottage hospital, early European explorers of the Exploits Valley, tools of ship building, dynamic European and Beothuk displays, antique snowmobile display and gift shop. A vast array of photos/information dating back to the 1800's.
