"Room To Breathe"

Slow down and breathe deep...these are words you don't hear used often in our hectic modern world. But it’s something of a motto around here, and with the natural beauty of the province, it’s not hard to see why. Icebergs

Few things in nature can slow the eye like the sight of these bergs. Take a boat tour down Iceberg Alley and get as close as you can to these natural marvels, spectacles that dot our shores more than anywhere else in the world. Time-lapsed Painting of the Fresh Air Superboard

This striking video of an artist hand-painting a giant 3-D window into Newfoundland and Labrador, 60 feet above Toronto's Gardiner Expressway, was taken over a period of three weeks. The superboard is part of Newfoundland and Labrador's Fresh Air campaign which tempts travellers to escape to the province and leave smog and humidity behind.

Birds

With 35 million seabirds routinely setting up shop on our shores – 25,000 gannets, 500,000 puffins, 7 million storm-petrels and 24,000 razorbills – our rocks can get more than a little crowded. See for yourself the birds dotting our bays, inlets and skies in this short clip.

Coastline

Gros Morne National Park

L'Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site

History is found in every step on this National Historic Site, so take a step back in time and see what you find. The excavation of this Viking settlement in 1968 made it the first and only authenticated Norse site in North America.
