Lawnya Vawnya Music Festival is an independent music and arts festival that takes place in downtown St. John's every spring. Names for an expression that - according to the Dictionary of Newfoundland English means "having a good time at a dance or party with plenty to eat," Alumni include Dan Morgan, Cadence Weapon, The Great Lake Swimmers, Julie Doiron, The Inbreds, METZ, Rae Spoon, Snailhouse and many, many more.
