Whaleback Nordic Ski Club
The club has a day lodge and 25-kilometres of trails which are groomed daily. Whaleback offers ski rentals, day passes, lessons for beginners and night skiing on a 2.5-km lighted trail. In addition, the club hosts back country tours for skiers who like to explore the high country surrounding Bay St. George. Whaleback annually hosts various provincial events such as the Newfoundland x-Country Ski Marathon as well as its own Snowy Owl Classic and the Whaleback Loppet.
