Fogo Island Marine Interpretation Centre
The Marine Interpretation Centre is a restored Fisherman's Union Trading Company store. In 1913, a branch store was opened in Seldom and is now a museum. Visitors can stroll through the retail store, fish store and the cod liver oil factory, as well as view a display of the Funk Islands diverse bird colony. The site includes displays and presentations of 'The Fogo Process': Fogo Island's development plan to avoid re-settlement. This led to the creation of the Fogo Island Co-operative Society.
