Memorial University of Newfoundland Botanical Garden
The only botanical garden in the province with 110 acres of natural area & 10 acres of planted gardens. Hiking trails meander through a variety of Newfoundland boreal forest habitats including Oxen Pond, fens and barrens. Many special events including Rhodie Festival, Garden Days, Seniors' Day, Flower Shows and a variety of family activities are scheduled. A gift shop, cafe, conference room, (often features art exhibits and available for meetings), display room (features exhibits on gardening and Newfoundland natural history), washrooms, classroom, reference library.
