Centre Hill Wilderness Trail

Sunnyside, Trinity Bay

Centre Hill is an old volcano and the the highest point in eastern Newfoundland (384 metres). At the top, you will enjoy a spectacular, panoramic view. The trail crosses a river, then winds through forest, barrens and a bakeapple marsh before a steep 400 metre climb to the top. The trail is 5km each way (10km total). Plan for half a day. The trail was upgraded in 2015.
