Marble Mountain Resort
Nestled at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, towering over the beautiful Humber Valley in Western Newfoundland is Marble Mountain Resort – renowned for the best skiing on Canada's East Coast.
With the highest vertical drop of any ski area in Atlantic Canada, you'll soar down 225 acres and 37 trails catering to all skill levels and preferences: beginners, snowboarders, and self-proclaimed mogul masters. If snowboarding is your fervor, rip up the terrain park.
Carve up the runs day and night from December to April. At the summit of the mountain, take in the stunning, rugged panorama as you stand 1,700 feet above the banks of the Humber River. Located just five minutes away from Corner Brook, Canada's snowiest city, Marble Mountain Resort receives an average 16 feet of natural snowfall annually. And if Mother Nature takes a break, you can rely on state-of-the-art snowmaking equipment.
Hate waiting in line? Marble Mountain's Governor's Express is the only high-speed detachable quad lift in Atlantic Canada. It's just one of five lifts that will carry you up the slopes over the spectacular west coast scenery. Lineups are short, so you'll spend less time on the lifts and more time on the mountain.
During your downtime, enjoy après ski in the post-and-beam base lodge. Described as "the most beautiful lodge in the world" by Powder Magazine, this 54,000 square foot lodge holds a bar, cafeteria-style restaurant and more under its wooden cathedral ceiling.
Slope-side accommodations are available at Marble Villa. Ski right up to the back door of the building and relax in front of your fireplace while you enjoy views of Marble Mountain and the Humber Valley.
Taking in the stunning scenery with Marble Zip Tours is becoming increasingly popular, and it's something you can enjoy at Marble Mountain year round. Begin your guided adventure on the first platform near the top of the mountain, the first of eight exhilarating zip lines that traverse the Steady Brook Falls. Feel the adrenalin pump through your veins as you zig zag down the gorge, soaring from platform to platform along zip lines up to 1,400 feet long and 285 feet high.
The mountain is also a beautiful place for hiking during the warmer months of the year.
At Marble Mountain, you can enjoy outdoor and indoor concerts, shows, and other activities under the sun and the stars. In February, we host the popular Corner Brook Winter Carnival, a 10-day celebration of our favourite season – winter!
